Tutorial Thursday #8 - Chrysanthemum Pillow

#1 - SHOP of the DAY - PassedBy

#2 - ITEM of the DAY - Horse pillow cover - Yellow farm animal print on natural linen front and personalized striped or diamond printed back by ClassicbyNature

Add this tutorial to the list of things to do when I find my time.

My time ran off somewhere. Have you found yours?

Yeah. Me neither.

I have always loved these pillows. I see them on ETSY all the time! MY mind thinks 2 things.

1. What kind of fabric is that?

2. Is this some kind of IKEA project with 50 pieces and tiny tools.

Gah I hate those tiny tools.

But no, it's not as bad as it looks. And it's a free PDF download with everything you need.

Good Job Joann's Fabrics on this one.

  1. Like the effect of your cushion, I must say! However, my attention was caught by your comment about time flying away. Have a charity bazaar tomorrow, got all the items I'm selling together, got the material to cover the table, and then started getting together labels etc. Guess what, after shops had closed - I discovered my printer inks had run out, and I had forgotten to get replacements (even though I'd made a note to get them last week-end - or thought I had!)

Not the end of the world: but it would have just finished the display off! Still, it's only my second attempt, so perhaps I can forgive myself!

Wish me luck please - have some new items to sell which I'll be blogging about at ( and listing in my Etsy shop ( at the week-end.

Pop in, please, and view. Your comments would be much appreciated. All the best!
