All this craft involves is stacking. I mean hello. Lietrally find and or buy balls and twine and stack. Feeling Creative? Add a face and arms...or go minimalist. You'll be the talk of the town. I knew all that lego stacking would come in handy.
I am by no means the cook in my house. I remember when I first got married I tried so hard to be the cook. I would look up recipes and attempt to cook things I found but unless it was mac and cheese - wasn't happening. After we got over the initial "try not to hurt each other's feelings" phase it was very much noted that I should not cook. Trust me. I was not gonna fight this. In fact a sense of relief came over. You can only eat mac and cheese so many times. So I have tried to establish myself as the baker of the house instead. I do pretty well except I may have had a small break down when after an hour trip to the grocery store I forgot - oh you know - half the ingredients. I think I will just have to settle on pinning items and then buying them at the store. I know the good ones to buy at least. Look at all these cupcakes I COULD make...
I have already confessed to being glued to my T.V. but I must admit that YouTube has captured me as well. I am a sucker for DVR and funny videos on the internet. Makes me feel better after a long day. Oh you slipped on that fence or ran into a garbage can, well I didn't. Yeah for me! So in honor of the weekend please watch this nugget of fun. I can only pray my future kids are this cool.
Yesterday was one of those days where when I got home I watched about 10 hours of TV. Do you even know how much I had backed up on that DVR from vacation? It's sad really but at the same time awesome. How often can I watch modern family, sister wives, and gold rush all on the same day? Not that often people, not that often.
Btw. I wish I had one of these while I was traveling this weekend. An airplane one would make my life.
I'm still in a vacation coma.
I wish I had something witty to say or something funny or cool to write about but I don't.
All I have is sore legs and an inability to want to do work.
Tomorrow will be fun.
I did manage to find this Christmas craft.
Whew. I'm exhausted.
Time for crafting. This is what I lack.
If I could just maybe not work and live in Hobby Lobby and get paid to copy things off Pinterest I think that would be amazing.
Unfortunately my power ball ticket only yielded $8, so I guess I'm still employed.
So I'll just drool over this collection of 28 amazing ideas that possibly (if I'm lucky) one will be made. And by made I mean probably bought at Hobby Lobby.
It's wintertime = sweater time.
Yeah. Boots and sweaters are my favorite.
You can skip the gym, you can skip shaving your legs. A girls' dream.
Sometimes my sweaters do get stretched out but I love them.
So I rock the amazing hanger shoulders. Cute.
So this tutorial looks super easy and adds a cute / sexy twist to an old lady sweater.
Who say DIY can't be sexy.
You know those wedding present you get that are not on your registry but you still like?
Yeah my cupcake stand would be one of those.
I love it.
I'm sure as a single girl it would have looked great in my home.
Apparently shabby chic is not an understood concept around men.
I have snuck it in the kitchen numerous times but somehow it keeps being returned to the highest cabinet.
So thankfully I found this picture.
House all the coffee? House all the mugs? Yeah...move it now.
I need this when decorating my mantle.
Yes. It is the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Sure there was Black Friday and endless amounts of pumpkin pie but there was also something else. Looming over like a dark shadow. Time to move on pumpkins - it's Christmas time!
How embarrassing to still have the turkeys out on Sunday.
Ashamed I went into decorating mode.
Problem. I think I overloaded my mantle.
See last year was the first year in our house so I was lucky to have anything up there.
My mom always told me buy the decorations after the holiday is done. So i did. Apparently all of them. Now I have too many cute decorations.
Not to mention the pile of arts and crafts stuff that I want to make that I found on Pinterest.
So in pure Dallas fashion I kept it all up there - like teased hair. The more the better rights?
*The picture was insta-gramed to tone down the excitement I apparently have for Christmas on my mantle.
Out this week. It's Thanksgiving.
Unlike Target I want to enjoy holidays and do my shopping online.
Then only the cyber elves have to work.
And plus I have to start decorating for Christmas.
I'm already behind.
I always need great cheap gift ideas for Christmas time.
I have figured out so far (in my gift giving escapades) that candy is always a blanket winner in terms of what people like.
Go outside of food and you are on your own.
You better hope people are nice or can at least fake it.
So if you need a good class gift idea or a gift for a teacher (hint, hint) this would be excellent. Who doesn't love chocolate?
A lot of chocolate...
