Tutorial Thursday #38 - Sexy Shoulder Sweater

#1 - SHOP of the DAY - LittleGirlsDresses

#2 - ITEM of the DAY - Cute Red Bow wool coat Christmas sales (395)

It's wintertime = sweater time.
Yeah. Boots and sweaters are my favorite.
You can skip the gym, you can skip shaving your legs. A girls' dream.
Sometimes my sweaters do get stretched out but I love them.
So I rock the amazing hanger shoulders. Cute.
So this tutorial looks super easy and adds a cute / sexy twist to an old lady sweater.
Who say DIY can't be sexy.

Happy Thursday!

Why Didn't I Think of That #43 - Cupcake Coffee Stand

#1 - SHOP of the DAY - HappyFamily
$18 - the perfect gift for a brother!

#2 - ITEM of the DAY - Dog Bone Christmas Ornament Personalized with Pet Name
$16 - for all the dog lovers out there

You know those wedding present you get that are not on your registry but you still like?
Yeah my cupcake stand would be one of those.
I love it.
I'm sure as a single girl it would have looked great in my home.
Apparently shabby chic is not an understood concept around men.
I have snuck it in the kitchen numerous times but somehow it keeps being returned to the highest cabinet.
So thankfully I found this picture.
House all the coffee? House all the mugs? Yeah...move it now.

Instagram Christmas

#1 - SHOP of the DAY - GreenJazzFace

#2 - ITEM of the DAY - Christmas Decoration, Peg People NATIVITY Set, Children Nativity Set, Wooden Nativity, Eco Friendly Christmas Decoration

Balance.
I need this when decorating my mantle.
Yes. It is the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Sure there was Black Friday and endless amounts of pumpkin pie but there was also something else. Looming over like a dark shadow.
Time to move on pumpkins - it's Christmas time!
How embarrassing to still have the turkeys out on Sunday.
Ashamed I went into decorating mode.
Problem. I think I overloaded my mantle.
See last year was the first year in our house so I was lucky to have anything up there.
My mom always told me buy the decorations after the holiday is done. So i did. Apparently all of them. Now I have too many cute decorations.
Not to mention the pile of arts and crafts stuff that I want to make that I found on Pinterest.
So in pure Dallas fashion I kept it all up there - like teased hair. The more the better rights?

*The picture was insta-gramed to tone down the excitement I apparently have for Christmas on my mantle.

Thankful

Out this week. It's Thanksgiving.
Unlike Target I want to enjoy holidays and do my shopping online.
Then only the cyber elves have to work.
And plus I have to start decorating for Christmas.
I'm already behind.

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Tutorial Thursday #37 - Candy Sled

#2 - ITEM of the DAY - Little Gull - Earring Studs

I always need great cheap gift ideas for Christmas time.
I have figured out so far (in my gift giving escapades) that candy is always a blanket winner in terms of what people like.
Go outside of food and you are on your own.
You better hope people are nice or can at least fake it.
So if you need a good class gift idea or a gift for a teacher (hint, hint) this would be excellent.
Who doesn't love chocolate?
A lot of chocolate...

Materials:
2 candy Canes
1 large bar (your base)
10 small bars (to build)
Ribbon
1 bow

Why Didn't I Think of That #42 - CD Sandwich

#1 - SHOP of the DAY - RossLab

#2- ITEM of the DAY - Lime Green Christmas Tree Felt Ornament

Does anyone burn C.D.'s anymore?
Remember when the mix tape moved to CDs and it was totally revolutionary.... and then Apple and I tuned happened.
Suddenly CD's are now used as art and as up-cycled creations.
Don't worry N'sync I will not up-cycle you!
Well if you have any extra CD's carriers because you've burned them all - here is a great solution for lunch.
Non-squished sandwich and 90's jams.
Could you ask for me?

Tutorial Thursday #36 - Alcohol Ink Dyed Coasters

#1 - SHOP of the DAY - moonchildvintage

#2 - ITEM of the DAY - Blue and White Reversible Vintage Measuring Tape Bracelet - Antique Brass

Christmas is coming.
Have you figured this out yet?
I don't know if it's Hobby Lobby, the radio, or my husband who keep up the constant reminders but I must get ready. Or else I feel someone might hunt me down.
With that being said - making the list of gift ideas is upon me...and Pinterest.
At least I do finally feel I am at the point in my life where I like gifts that matter or are from the heart.
Don't get me wrong I'll take $100 but seeing as I can't return the favor I figure it might be unfair. So in my trolling on Pinterest I can across this little number.

Time: 2 Hours including dry time
Materials: Ceramic tiles, alcohol ink (try Adirondack!), alcohol, aerosol finisher, paintbrush, paint, rubber pads for the bottom

Why Didn't I Think of That #41 - Didn't you know it's Christmas?

#1 - SHOP of the DAY - KaitybugsKreations

#2 - ITEM of the DAY - Bright and Cheery Quilted Tree Skirt 63 inch Diameter

According to Hobby Lobby (the company that runs my life schedule) the next holiday is Christmas. Don't you think Thanksgiving is upset?
I mean I think the turkeys got a solid week on the shelf and then it was like move on over - the snowmen are here!
I would say I disagree but I don't.
Presents under the tree trumps turkey legs any day.
So because you have to start prepping now - save your milk jugs and old lights and get crafting.

Party Week

I will be back in action tomorrow. I guess the celebratory week of birthday partying is not acceptable in all 50 states. Who knew?

Happy Monday!
